ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE NURSING-MEDICAL FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY
Outstandinglay completed all entrusted tasks and plans, creative in teaching, scientific research and improved professional knowledge, business, politics and management. Always have the spirit and outward behavior to better serve students. Positively and creatively implemented the compilation and publication of teaching materials; training qualified nurses at the intermidiate and Bachelor levels. Successfully built a feasible plan for a Bachelor of Nursing course in 2010 admissions. Having good training and development strategies for the teaching staff with high professional qualifications at: undergraduate and graduate levels. Actively expanding international relations in the field of training and scientific research on nursing and midwifery with many countries such as Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Cannada, Japan, Australia, Austria, America, etc.
The School has received many accreditations, including: Innovative Labor Collective in 9 consecutive years, from 1999 to 2007.”Excellent Labor Collective” certificate from the Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee awarded to the Nursing-Medical Technology School from 2011 to 2018, and received the title of “Excellent Accomplisment for Two Consecutive year” from 2010 to 2018.
Moreover, the School has received other accreditations from the University Trade Union and the Medical Sector about women work, excellent women, cultural arts, physical activities and political education.
The Department has received many Certificate for high achievements from the Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee:

– The Patient Care Department has successfully completed many years of continuous tasks, actively contributing to the City’s emulation movement to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the School’s establishment (1989 – 2009).
– The Department of Nursing – Midwifery successfully completed typical emulation movements in 5 years continuously on the 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the City (2005-2010).
– In 2010 – 2011, the School of Nursing – Medical Technology successfully completed the task of the 2-year academic years.

The School has successfully completed the assigned tasks and plans for many years, especially in the past 3 years. The School is always creative and initiative in teaching, scientific research, learning to improve professional knowledge, political and management qualifications. Always has good spirit towards serving students. Active and creative in compiling and publishing Nursing teaching and training materials from intermediate, bachelor and graduate levels. Successfully runs a Nursing program, Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Specialty I training program, improving the quality of training. Good internal solidarity strength.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Van Thinh, born in 1960, Head of The Faculty of Nursing-Medical Technology, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, Ho Chi Minh City
As the Head of the Faculty of Nursing-Medical Technology, he always tries to expand the scale of training and gradually improve the quality of teaching and learning. Always improves appropriate training programs, step by step has built a brand. Well-equipped and appropriate facilities, with modern equipment equivalent to countries with advanced medicine, have helped the generations of students who have the best internship conditions. Particularly, he focused on developing the teaching staff of the School with more than 70 instructers (including 03 researching students in Nursing, 10 Masters of Nursing, 7 Specialized I Nurses and Bachelor’s degrees in Nursing, medical technicians with high expertise, making a significant contribution to the training of human resources for nurses and medical technicians in the city. Each year, the School has trained and contributed to City’s medical sector nearly 600 nurses (secondary, undergraduate, and graduate) and 50 midwives. Always strengthens the link between the Institute and the University in training and suppling human resources. At the same time, expands and strongly develops international relations in the field of professional knowledge. Aims to train high-quality nurses and technicians (capable of working in an international environment) who meet regional and international standards. With the achievements and contributions to the City’s Health Sector, in 2012, the School of Nursing – Medical Technology was awarded a Certificate by the Prime Minister and the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.
In addition, he also participates in medical examination and specialized treatment of the chest and blood vessels at 115 People’s Hospital as the Head of Department. He has directly operated many cases of trauma and saved many life-threatening cases. He also actively applies and implements new and modern techniques in medical examination and treatment such as laparoscopic surgery, blood vessels, goiter, intravenous laser, etc. Shortens treatment time, reduces costs, and limits complications after surgery. Not stopping there, he always takes care of and improves the professional process to perfect the work of receiving, monitoring, surgery and postoperative care in accordance with reality.
